FED: No grounds for PM to sack Hollingworth: Downer
SYDNEY, Feb 25 AAP - Prime Minister John Howard had no grounds to sack Governor-GeneralPeter Hollingworth, who must himself decide whether to resign, Foreign Affairs MinisterAlexander Downer said today.
Mr Downer said Dr Hollingworth had clearly made some errors of judgement in the past,but added: "Who hasn't?".
Dr Hollingworth has denied he covered up cases of child sexual abuse when he was theArchbishop of Brisbane.
