NSW: Sydney fog lifts, restoring airport and ferry services
Flights to and from Sydney Airport and city ferry services have returned to normal
after a morning of disruptions due to thick fog.
Up to 20 international flights were forced to divert to Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra
airports and several Rivercat commuter ferry services were cancelled.
Sydney Airports Corporation spokesman SCOTT SLOAN says domestic flights were also affected
by delays, with passengers from cancelled services being ushered onto later flights.
Despite visibility on the city's roads being reduced to 200 metres, the NSW Ambulance
service had few accidents reported.
